Imhotep – Out of the red.

Well, we have made our first payment into our IVA. It is such a relief! The past four months or so have been hell for us.

We never defaulted on payments, we always paid on time. We knew things were getting bad for us when we tried to remortgage and were refused because we had ‘too many outgoings’. Have you ever tried to explain that you won’t have those outgoings if the remortgage is approved?

In hindsight I’m pleased it was refused. Turning unsecured debt into secured debt is NEVER a good idea. I know.

I’m in a reflective mood…

After a nightmare four months of letters and telephone calls our IVA was approved today!

What a relief.
